* Please note that this system will mount onto all model/year Yamaha Bolts. However, in the case of the 2017 SCR950 you will need to obtain a base, r-spec, or c-spec exhaust mounting bracket, the SCR950 came with a specific bracket for mounting an upswung exhaust that this will not bolt onto.

I wonder about the heat shielding. With forward controls will my ankle be against the bare pipe?

With any exhaust system, even the stock, you will find that your boot or pants leg may touch the unshielded portion of exhaust more than typical when you have forward controls installed. We suggest an aftermarket shield be attached the the exhaust if it is a problem for you.
