Motorcycle Dress-Up tested 3 different cameras over the course of 4 years and by far the best results we had were from the ThinkWare M1. It is a very robust camera system featuring looped recording, durable enough to survive rugged environments and stress. Better than a GoPro for everyday recording since you don’t have to deal with batteries, the device is wired directly to the battery of the bike, if the bike is on your cameras are on. Don’t get caught with a dead GoPro battery the one time that Prius rear-ended you. This is the best insurance policy you can carry!

The video quality is excellent and sound is fairly decent despite engine noise. Of all the cameras we tested this is the only one that survived years of use, others died after a little over or under a year. The phone app is quite basic but all the needed features are there and you really don’t need much other than to be able to pull footage from it as needed.

Our only real issue was the provided plastic mounts, we mounted ours using TackForm components for a very sturdy setup. We suggest using a better mounting solution if in your budget, TackForm components are all aluminum construction and can be easily configured to mount most anywhere you want on the bike.
